MA Voters Can Vote at Old Address
October 30, 2008 by Administrator
A new law that will be in effect for this election only will allow voters in Massachusetts to vote at a previous address they lived at within the last 18-months. This is only if they have failed to re-register at a new address.
One reason for this legislation is based on how many people may have been displaced from the foreclosure crisis.
According to the Associated Press:
“The governor believes that it is important to broaden access to the ballot particularly for people who have been displaced over the last year and a half due to the foreclosure crisis,” said Patrick’s spokesman Kyle Sullivan.
The ballots will be limited to votes for president, U.S. senator and the three statewide ballot questions.
